You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. Richard Buckminster Fuller

Change Occurs Within You First…

If you observe the events and dynamics of the world stage at the moment, it may be difficult to have clarity as to how humanity will manage to work through all that is, to get where we are going or want to be.

Many questions come to mind. How can I fight or prevent this? How can we force them to change that? What power do we have? I am only one person? Who will lead us there?

To facilitate the vision that we hold, however, the path begins with each one of us. We work within ourselves. We make our own change in our perspectives, choices, beliefs and intent. We create new systems that will eventually replace the old. We lead ourselves.

Let him who would move the world, first move himself. Socrates

Evolution or advancement within humanity occurs within the hearts and minds of each individual, first and foremost. And this period of time is no exception.

As each one of us, does our own individual work on ourselves, and then lives that truth in the world, the change that we all desire will happen naturally and with relative ease. Not through fighting, forcing or manipulating, but by creating systems and structures that work so effortlessly, that the old paradigms fall away and are replaced by the new. This is true regardless of the forum where change is needed. Your household, your business, your community or your world. Transformation originates with you.

Decide who you are, based upon your chosen beliefs and values. Live the truth of who you are every day to the best of your ability. Create new frameworks that represent these truths. These are the simple steps which lead each of us individually and eventually all of us collectively to our highest destiny.

Why is this? What is the mechanism which facilitates global change, merely by doing the work within yourself and your life?
Quantum Mechanics and the knowledge that we are all intimately connected beyond time and space. Scientific, peer-reviewed studies have proven that, despite appearances to the contrary, there is no separation between us, our neighbors, our community and our world. This is now scientific fact. Therefore, the changes you make in your own life emanate throughout the web of consciousness that is humanity. Each one of us, living the truth of who we are, creates an elegant and effortless sea of change powerful enough to affect the face of the planet. This is how profound our day-to-day choices and actions truly are.

As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world – that is the myth of the atomic age – as in being able to remake ourselves. Mahatma Gandhi

Lead Yourself
If you look throughout history, you will observe that all great evolutionary advances occurred because humanity was ready on a collective basis to move forward to the next octave in consciousness. Although there may have been extraordinary, forward-thinking leaders who emerged within each time period of transition, those role models only found their platform of inspiration because on a collective level, mankind had reached the tipping point of change.

Instead of looking out to the world for leadership on this evolutionary journey, lead yourself. Choose your own platform for the world you want to create. Model your own campaign for change, and hold yourself accountable for living the truth of who you are and what you believe, regardless of others’ behavior or perspectives.

If you have an area of your life or work, whereby the system isn’t working for you, consider a different perspective, or create, implement and propose a new strategy. Be a beacon of change for yourself, and I assure you that others will follow.

The concepts of knowing your truth, leading yourself and becoming the change you want to see in the world are simple, straight-forward solutions to all that we desire. In fact, they are so fundamental, that we often discard them as not truly effective. We tell ourselves that big problems, require big, complex solutions. Yet, these universal principles are exactly what will catalyze, create and lead us to the change that feels so necessary at this time.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world. Mahatma Gandhi

Gandhi expressed this truth so beautifully. Don’t be fooled by the idea that the solution to change must be complicated.

Go within and find your truth. Align and live this truth. Create new systems to replace the old. Lead yourself to change.
